Understanding how to succeed in the workplace is just as important as finding a job. At iCare Workforce, we help you feel confident and prepared for what comes next.
Our Workplace Readiness program is designed for migrants, refugees, and multicultural community members who are new to the Australian workforce. Whether you’ve worked before in your home country or this is your first job ever, we provide the tools and knowledge you need to feel comfortable, capable, and ready to contribute.
Who we help
- Newly arrived migrants and refugees
- Multicultural families and individuals
- People who feel isolated or unsure how to connect
- Anyone needing support to understand life in Australia

Understanding the Australian Workplace
We help you learn how things work at work — from workplace culture and teamwork to how to dress, be on time, and communicate professionally. You’ll gain confidence in how to start strong and fit in with your team.

Knowing Your Rights and Staying Safe
We teach you your rights as a worker, how to stay safe on the job, and what to do if something goes wrong. You’ll learn about pay, working hours, entitlements, respectful treatment, and health and safety procedures.

Speaking Up and Getting Support
We help you build basic English for the workplace — like asking questions, following instructions, and joining conversations. You’ll also learn how to ask for help, raise concerns, and feel confident speaking up when you need to.
